About Gary Bandy

I’m a chartered public finance accountant with more than 30 years of experience in public sector finance. I’ve been a finance director, a consultant, and a university teacher. Along the way, I’ve written two books on public financial management and a lot of reports, briefing notes, business cases and presentations.

Now I help public sector finance professionals communicate clearly and effectively. I write on behalf of people who don’t have the time (or perhaps the confidence) to write for themselves. Whether it’s a committee report, a policy paper, or a LinkedIn article, I make sure their insights land well.

Good writing isn’t about sounding clever. It’s about getting your message across. If you’re responsible for public money, you owe it to your readers to write in plain language.
