The work I do falls into three categories: advising, teaching and writing. If you think I can help you with a project then please send me an email or use this link to book a 15 minute call where you can ask me anything.

Advising

Whatever financial management issues you are facing I can give you sound advice. My career has covered most aspects of public financial management including budgeting, accounting, auditing, governance, tax collection and advising politicians. Previous work assignments mean I have particular knowledge about commissioning and procurement of value for money goods and services. I’ve done some work in the private sector, too.

Teaching

I can teach both formal courses at educational institutions or customised training for public sector organisations. If you are looking for an associate lecturer to deliver a lecture or a whole course on public sector financial management or if you are a manager in a public organisation (a school, hospital, police force, council, whatever) who wants some bespoke training for yourself or your staff, I can help. Often this teaching and training will be delivered face to face but I can create content for online learning systems, too. In fact, I am creating online courses for managing public money at my own online school. Check it out here.

Writing

I am able to communicate financial issues clearly and can be hired to write/review/edit reports or other documents. I have learned how to communicate financial topics to students using presentations and I can improve your PowerPoint or Keynote presentations if you like.
